We have frequent lightning storms and this is a must have. I love that it will beep if there is a problem with the power strip so I will know if or when it needs to be replaced (after having absorber a strike or overage). We didn't need a large number of outlets, so this was perfect. And it's slim, so it doesn't take up much room! Having the plugs in a single row makes things easy to get to, one of our other ones has them in 3 rows and things get very crowded.
