Although you can never really tell if these are working correctly, I have yet to lose any components with monster protection.I needed a high current outlet for my Yamaha A-3000, two 1800 Watt powered Definitive tower speakers, and two 150 watt powered center speakers. I had to use an unfiltered/unprotected power bar as there is only one high current outlet. There are more than enough standard outlets. Everything is working flawlessly so far! The front panel has indicator lights let you know everything is functioning normally. If you've got a lot of money in your sound equipment, consider the few hundred dollars on power protection a must as critical as your amp. 1 star lost because of Cons: I would prefer to see a watt meter or amp meter instead of the voltage meter LCD display. LEt me tell you two days after hooking in together we were hit with several tough storms. We lost power several times and the home itself was hit with multiple power spikes. The wife and I looked at one one another every time. "boy I am sure glad we have that surge protector"WELL WORTH THE few dollars, in order to protect much more expensive equipment.
